If you’re familiar with us here at Timber Cannabis Co, you likely know about our commitment to giving back to our community. From the beginning, Timber’s founders wanted to include staff in volunteering, donations, and community events, working to incorporate giving into not only the company’s practices, but its culture as well. We are proud to run quarterly campaigns that benefit local animal organizations, veterans, LGBTQIA+ community members, and individuals experiencing food insecurity. This quarter, we are working to support the local queer community with our Cadillac Rainbows strain!
Cannabis and the LGBTQIA+ community have historically always had a close relationship. Both struggle with legalization and stigma to this day. Many credit the LGBTQIA+ community with playing a large role in the legalization of medical marijuana in California in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, which paved the way for legalization in other states as well. To celebrate and support our queer community, for the first quarter of this year, proceeds from sales of any High Minded Cadillac Rainbows products will go towards Great Lakes Bay Pride, which works to connect LGBTQIA+ folks with resources, advocate for and educate about the community, and build supportive and inclusive local networks in the Great Lakes Bay region.
